Meet Jens Kamin

The journey of Definite Chocolate is a delightful tale that began with Jens, an industrial engineer who dedicated ten years to energy efficiency projects in Germany. His passion for chocolate ignited after he attended a chocolate bonbon workshop in Frankfurt, where he started crafting his own creations as a hobby. However, it was his first encounter with single-origin craft chocolates at the Salon du Chocolat in Cologne that truly captivated him, inspiring his dream of making chocolate from scratch.

A few years later, after relocating to the Dominican Republic, Jens took the leap and began his dream right from his home kitchen. With each passing day, he immersed himself in the art of chocolate-making, learning how to evaluate fine cacao and establishing connections with cacao producers—relationships he still cherishes today. In 2018, he transitioned from home production to a small workspace, and just a year later, he upgraded to a spacious 120-square-meter factory where Definite Chocolate continues to thrive.
