Why it matters:

Cacao fruit drinks, from refreshing juices to complex alcoholic beverages, introduce tropical flavors rarely tasted outside their origin.  They vastly reduce food waste while leveraging up to 40% of the cacao pod that’s traditionally unused in chocolate making. This provides communities with high-value, brand-defining exports that go far beyond chocolate – and don’t require a cold chain!

Similarly, drinking chocolates and teas use both cocoa seeds and shells to create delicious beverages rich in theobromine and light in caffeine, delivering both tradition and nutrition with minimal waste or added processing.
